What is Cold-Process Soap?

cold process soap

Cold process soap is made by combining oils and/or butters and sodium hydroxide lye, without applying any external heat. This causes a chemical reaction called 'saponification', which results in the formation of soap and glycerin, which is a natural byproduct of the soap making process, an excellent moisturizer and humectant.

Commercially available soaps use surfactants/detergents and other additives which inevitably make these soaps harsher on skin and leave the skin feeling dry. On the other hand our high-quality handmade soaps are made by using great ingredients and recipes that's formulated to be effective and gentle on skin.

Switch to handmade soap and you will never go back to store bought bars!

How is 'Artisan soap' differnent from Regular soap?

Artisan Soap

An artisan is defined as a craftsman in a skilled trade, especially one that involves making things by hand. Usually denoting or relating to goods produced on a small scale using tradition methods. Artisan soaps are crafted by skilled hands to be high in quality and distinctive in form.

All the artisan soap you can buy here are made with all-natural oils, fair trade butters, colorants and premium fragrances. Traditional purpose of soap is to 'clean'. Soap made for this purpose alone is practical and effective, but 'that's so boring'. Artisan soaps have been crafted with oils that have been carefully chosen for their skin-friendly properties. They have been balanced so that when turned into soap they get the job done with great lather and bubbles, but no harshness. To further elevate our bars, they are made with an array of skin safe colors and premium fragrances to upgrade the soap from being just a practical bar that gets the job done, to a carefully designed olfactory experience which looks great and feels amazing to use.
